Yep, last post for 2010 ... I've been blogging for a while now ... would like to take it to a new level, but this writing, I like. Moreover, it is most of my friends and family so that they keep an eye on me when I do not respond so well in the cell phone xD.
What, then, my plans / hopes for the coming year?
* I would like to see Mr. J as often as I have done this fall / winter ^ ^
* I will continue to receive at least a passing on my courses at Dalarna University
* In 2011, I know if I go to Japan as an exchange student during the fall 2011 or spring 2012!
* On summer holidays I'm going away to Belgium and practice for the frame Events ... still do not know when or for how long;)
* I hope my first convention - Rencon - will be successful
* I hope to see Versailles again ... well ... hope you can always right? : P
* Will start reading Japanese on campus for the fall
* Want to get me my first tattoo! (OO)
* I'll see more Japanese artists / concerts!

Learn To Suck Your Own
Flashback to 2010 .... ups & downs
I remember I did a similar look back at 2009 ... but I can not remember exactly what I wrote and do not go back and check out: P.
2010 has been a very eventful year for me ... 2010, for me to be the year when I grabbed my future after 3 years of "what should I be when I grow up?" - thinking. It was not a waste of time ... but you wish of course that you've made the decision earlier, but on the other hand, it was not the time "ripe" until this year.
2010 has been my most important years since 2005 when I decided to change school and move up to Mr. J in Ostersund. I do not know if I've ever been so productive and framåtgå ; only as this year. I feel like I have been at rest for several years and now suddenly awakened, I dispense with no energy anymore ... it will be invested, resisted and overcome all the way, until I feel ready. I've grown a lot as an individual and feel strong in myself.
Wish I could sense this and be equally determined about my weight ... .... jaja ... hopefully this will change my lifestyle To facilitate the thing for me.
Ups:
* Investigated and entered the Training & in Falun
* Initiated collaboration with envelope Events
* Saw INVENT Uppcon
* Saw Versailles in Oslo
* Saw FIND & Alsdead in Helsinki
* Went for the first time by air to another country
* Rated new friends both at local the two and four legs ^ ^
* Met IKIS
* Went up to my Grandma & Grandpa in Norrland
* Me and Mr. J have celebrated our six years as a couple days ^ ^
* Mr. J has worked throughout the year and will probably get a permanent position soon
* practiced at a restaurant and bondgå rd summer
Downs:
* was forced to move away from Mr. J and my beloved cats T_T ... do not want to be the girlfriend!
* Have not been able to meet IKIS as much as I wanted ... also, she moved very far from me * sob * *
got no summer job & therefore had to spend a whole summer in the employment services service xD
* Did take a new loan from CSN
* Have not lost those pounds that I want to get rid of .... with the oldest story in the book of female life * sigh *
So there ... there we have it ... now I go to bed.
Will I think of something more I'll update this list tomorrow or the day after ... there will be a post soon about my outlook for the upcoming 2011 and also the new decade ^^... for anyone who cares: P

in the starting blocks for post-Christmas sales ...
Right now, I and Mr. J of the preparations to go into Karlstad on post-Christmas sales ... I got some money that I or other earmarked to renew the contents of my closet ^__^, so hope I will find fun things now. By Mr. J, I got 500 crowns gift cards at Gina Tricot.
Christmas has come and gone, Christmas was celebrated at home with my family and Christmas Day with Mr. J's relatives. I got lots of lovely Christmas presents as a name-cup, deodorant, tea, a blanket, plate, money, and some other stuff ^ ^, thanks everyone! And not to mention all the yummy Christmas food and Christmas candy (O__O) nom nom nom.
only drawback I find is that time passes too quickly ... (T_T) ... I always want to spend time with family more than I do, but, but.
Then I bought a really geeky Christmas gift to myself ... I won on ebay
- All Silver Fang manganese, 1'a edition printed from 1984 to 1986 in Japanese ... and yes, I plan to read page by page, although it will take time ... sometime you should well learn the language: P

This anime is from 1979 .... so it is a classic you should have seen long ago: P. It took me less than 3 days to see through all 40 episodes (OO).
I liked it, it is something very cozy and nostalgic, which looms over cartoon style and the characters.
main character is Lady Oscar, a girl brought up to a boy and who works for Queen Antoinette in the military from age 14 until the French Revolution.
The special thing about Lady Oscar is that it's not a secret that she is a woman - those who work with her know about it and accept it. Oscar is a tough and strong female role model with anrda words ^ ^.

Well ... my blog drought continues ... have lost the urge to write this and do not really know why: (. But here goes anyway a post before Christmas: P
Yesterday I was invited by Xina to dinner (she and Bruce got engaged), it was me and 10 Chinese people ... and when it is time to start getting food, they say:
"First you ..."
"Why should I take first?"
"You are the only foreigner here !".... ... WTF XD! HAHAHA! ... It's Britsen baby! : P
And today I baked a Pizza ... and I do not think I have made it so good in my life. The bottom was thin, crispy and I had the mozzarella, shrimp and sundried tomatoes.
I grab the poor Italian kid who comes into the kitchen and asks him to try and say what he thinks.
He thought it was 1000 times better than those you could buy at pizzerias herein Town! (OO) ... but not as good as pizza in Italy of course ... but he was impressed. Cool review ^ ^ hehe
Tomorrow I will post the lecture and take me away to book a performer, doing Falun (who booked Dir en Grey to Sweden) and'll discuss some Japanese artists. Nothing concrete, I will just tell him my plans and he thing to listen ... but that's enough for me ^ ^

* Pocket VG on my second exam! ^ ^ .. PAFF was really because we are about 60 people in the class of which 15 had VG (OO). The margin was narrow with ... got to 21-24, it was VG (of which 24 are full marks). I will now be a bit un-Swedish and say I'm proud of myself! : P
* During week 49 or week 50, the tickets to Rencon released! ^ ^
* Have now ordered a ticket to Filipstad December 22
* What will happen this weekend? --- No idea ....

Begins still get the Christmas spirit ... ginger, saffron buns .... mulled wine-aroma, tända ljus och jul-musiken *love*
Den 11 december ska jag bjuda de som vill i korridoren på en traditionell svensk julmiddag ^^.
Kan knappt vänta till på torsdag då jag får csn pengarna... så att julshoppingen kan börja!
Och den 26 har Kawattakai anime-visning i bion på mediahuset! ^^... hoppas folk dyker upp...om inte annat blir det 3 timmars anime på bioduk...me like!
Ikväll ska jag och Xiaolong baka kanelbullar.... det var evigheter sen jag bakade bullar!...DEG! *nom nom nom*
Varför? Jag och Xiaolong hade ett what, I lose and now need to bake buns with him .... do not see what would be the loss for me: P
(Xiaolong love cinnamon rolls and bake apparently it very often : P)
After that it will be movie night with XIna and Dieu ... do not know what we'll see but it turns out well: P

Tsukicon-Part 3 - * Find Q & A and ALSDEAD *
Yep, the same has been sleeping out of place .. . I feel I hate fever but now does not sting your eyes anymore anyway of fatigue.
FIND Q & A:
On Sunday, had found their Q & A. ... but because the only languages spoken were Japanese and Finnish, I understood really not much. As usual FIND'm in a Nordic country in the autumn / winter / spring, he must say that it is cold ... but the fans makes him hot: P
His Q & A was fun anyway to see the ... because he sang a little and got to show some tattoos and dance-moves, etc.: P
On several occasions we had eye contact because I was sitting at the front, once he looked at me long enough that I would have to look away. Just stare into his intense dark eyes who also looked back at me every little too much xD .... Especially when I know he knows I barely make one iota of what is said but just sits there as a fan: P
So anyway, when Q & , A is finished so it's time to sign session again. I go on stage, sit down next to him and says:
- Watashi mo samui desu! (I'm too cold) and hug him with both arms and a similar hug back. That is to say that I felt both his hands on my back ^ ^. Better than the hug I gave him on Saturday as he sat down and I stood up.
He 's so thin! ... No wonder he freezes .... Eat man! : P
ALSDEAD
Now enough about FIND .... over to a band that surprised me about being awesome ... ALSDEAD. They had oxå Q & A session and sign on the Saturday before they could play on Sunday.
Now at last I buy some merchandise ... bought a poster & a photo set, later after the concert I bought a towel with ^ ^
poster I designed and while they wrote, I said basically just "konnitchiwa", "Arigatou" & "Gamba" ... and took them in hand of course. Gamba means, in principle, "Fight on" because I was almost last in signing that lasted for a little over an hour.
I wonder how many signatures they have time to do in an hour? ... Many anyway!
Then each of the concert and my group got a really bad number .... Number 89! XD
So after that we stood for about three hours and waited outside, we are finally let in.. The concert starts and I start to walk upstairs where there is 18-year limit and watching the first 3 songs. They are a nice band and their energy was incredible. Chorus are set as punched in the stomach and it was nothing more than to get carried away. Head Bang squeling for the win!
After three songs, I have to go down and up to the scene. I end up really far out of one edge of the stage but when it was closer anyway ... I move around with me some of it was still not so much people.
audience loved them and just want more as they come out two times and run the extra tracks!
They often jump off the stage and is with his fans through the bars ...
But because I was so far out of hand, so will not the singer there ....(( of course, is the singer I like best, as usual) com ; rräni absolute end and that's the last thing he does there.
When he comes closer and closer, it is as if all the energy in the air has turned me into fangirl. I and another girl was almost in principle, take us behind the grille on the side so it takes some willpower to not just run straight on.

Yep, the same has been sleeping out of place .. . I feel I hate fever but now does not sting your eyes anymore anyway of fatigue.
FIND Q & A:
On Sunday, had found their Q & A. ... but because the only languages spoken were Japanese and Finnish, I understood really not much. As usual FIND'm in a Nordic country in the autumn / winter / spring, he must say that it is cold ... but the fans makes him hot: P
His Q & A was fun anyway to see the ... because he sang a little and got to show some tattoos and dance-moves, etc.: P
On several occasions we had eye contact because I was sitting at the front, once he looked at me long enough that I would have to look away. Just stare into his intense dark eyes who also looked back at me every little too much xD .... Especially when I know he knows I barely make one iota of what is said but just sits there as a fan: P
So anyway, when Q & , A is finished so it's time to sign session again. I go on stage, sit down next to him and says:
- Watashi mo samui desu! (I'm too cold) and hug him with both arms and a similar hug back. That is to say that I felt both his hands on my back ^ ^. Better than the hug I gave him on Saturday as he sat down and I stood up.
He 's so thin! ... No wonder he freezes .... Eat man! : P
ALSDEAD
Now enough about FIND .... over to a band that surprised me about being awesome ... ALSDEAD. They had oxå Q & A session and sign on the Saturday before they could play on Sunday.
Now at last I buy some merchandise ... bought a poster & a photo set, later after the concert I bought a towel with ^ ^
poster I designed and while they wrote, I said basically just "konnitchiwa", "Arigatou" & "Gamba" ... and took them in hand of course. Gamba means, in principle, "Fight on" because I was almost last in signing that lasted for a little over an hour.
I wonder how many signatures they have time to do in an hour? ... Many anyway!
Then each of the concert and my group got a really bad number .... Number 89! XD
So after that we stood for about three hours and waited outside, we are finally let in.. The concert starts and I start to walk upstairs where there is 18-year limit and watching the first 3 songs. They are a nice band and their energy was incredible. Chorus are set as punched in the stomach and it was nothing more than to get carried away. Head Bang squeling for the win!
After three songs, I have to go down and up to the scene. I end up really far out of one edge of the stage but when it was closer anyway ... I move around with me some of it was still not so much people.
audience loved them and just want more as they come out two times and run the extra tracks!
They often jump off the stage and is with his fans through the bars ...
But because I was so far out of hand, so will not the singer there ....(( of course, is the singer I like best, as usual) com ; rräni absolute end and that's the last thing he does there.
When he comes closer and closer, it is as if all the energy in the air has turned me into fangirl. I and another girl was almost in principle, take us behind the grille on the side so it takes some willpower to not just run straight on.

Funny Wedding Koozies Sayings
Tsukicon - Part 2 - * Find *
So we now to the Convention's heart ... for me ... Find! ^ ^
Should, however, only explain the stupid queuing as a result, I do NOT end up at the front xD!
queue:
It is forbidden to queue outside the hall where GLORIA Tsukicons kept ... (yes we have to leave the building, we then get ; get into the same building and see FIND): P.
So instead, all the clusters across the street XD. In most cases, so when they get the green light on them to stand in line so they run across the street and falls and hits the corrupt to come first.
So this year was the number-patch systems.
They came over to us across the street and one of a group of 4-5 may take a note that says a random number and then get to stand in sex then!
why it does not matter how big fan you are or how far you have traveled to this :(... In Sweden it "the longest queue dryers may be at the front" ... much better in my opinion.
So now is determined my concert experience, depending on how low the numbers I get? ... MUY Stupido!
Even worse is that WE DO NOT HIT! To me that has always made it on the Find Events, then it would oxå a turn-off.
But when I stari second row from scene will find the manager's and take me backstage where I get to meet found while he fixes his hair ^ ^.
I've never felt so out of place XD ... I gave him, in which case his gift ... a pair of earrings in the form of a pair of crossed revolvers, and the manager a little bag of Swedish chocolate (which they both ate as safe source)
It was great to see that he actually responded with authenticity when he saw those earrings ... the synthesis that he wanted them ^ ^. So of course, had he put them immediately on itself.
I had to give him a hug, I asked how long his hair takes a bit and talked with the manager ... and then after 5-6 minutes, we went back to scene and then told the manager that actually found will remember me from Uppcon.
When the manager told me about him earlier that day he said that I had red hair and black / white dress ... the manager had forgotten remove my hair from Uppcon XD
FIND SHOW, just faster and faster ... I think just to enable it to start as it takes over. I was on the second row, almost in the middle.
Unfortunately never gets to my part of the scene because it is a photographer from the grill and the scene so find miss us and fuss most of the pages instead xD
He was however much faith ; tt before and after the show ... nice that he pushes himself but I think that one could see a bit. His music and dance is as entertaining as always ... but time passes too quickly!
I get anyway a new signing on the chest and take a photo with him afterwards: P When I came up and asked him to do that he exclaims:
- Again !?... I remember.

HAHA! ... The fun is the fact that it was me who just gave him the tie to stay in because I suspect that he would do anything in like this.

How To Design Costumes On Poptropica
Tsukicon - Part 1 - * The journey there + anything that went wrong *
I begin with this entry gg to get most of the negative things that pass before I move on to the actual concert / artist posts. ^ ^
For ... how much I wish I could say that this trip was completely fantastic, I can not say it, a lot was not like I expected and it has been on tempting both mentally and physically.
But I'll take all the negative that happened and categorize it in my brain during the "useful experience" because it was there.
Journey:
It was crazy excited to fly for the first time, all of the airports went well. I Do not lose me, and everything flowed smoothly.
From London to Helsinki so I felt a bit cold sweat just before the plane started and began to roll ... the anxiety of sitting strapped and not able to do something maybe?
But on the plane were all peaceful people ... representatives of 80 + and Barnie 10 years old .... so I kept myself very calm with me ^ ^
No adverse effects of the flight, I was not ^ ^ so big plus.
Everything that went wrong (point form):
* On Euro Hostel that I stayed on so it was nice! I would definitely be able to stay there again. I had a bed in a room with two beds. I lived with a middle-aged estonisk woman who did not respect other people's sleeping habits. She speaks neither English or Swedish.
She comes in the middle of the night on Friday, light bulbs and turn on the radio (which she has while she is asleep) ... In addition, she throats a beer and drink raw eggs .... yay: (. I slept between 4-5 hours every three nights xD
* The weather sucked the entire stay ... rainy, windy and cold ... Especially when you queue up a total of about 3-4 hours per day that you were there! XD ... So now I have a cold (fever & sore throat)
* ALL INFO + Lectures + Q & A (question & answering) was FINNISH despite a lot of foreign visitors Maker ... So .... the info if something should be given in two languages anyway!
* Find the show was not as it used to be :(... and NO PHOTOS WERE ALLOWED! BIG MINUS!
* Fully uppfuckat queue before the concert! (Tell us more about it in the post about ALSDEAD)
* My diet burst big time!
* Have not been able to study something and feel stressed about it
So there ... now I have got it out of me ... but the minuses with FIND show and around queuing for the concert was the greatest and will be explained more in the near future.

Hello friends. A shorty post again here, and with the right niche content will be also. But in any case, are you in Ghent sometime so happy to try the vegetarian restaurant on Komkommertijd Reep. Very yummy buffet of lyxkänsla despite reasonable prices. A little more casual but still görgött, to tell good from Gothenburg, is Greenway Ghent on Nederkouter. Till sist är det aldrig fel med en vegetarisk burgare och en juice på Tasty burger (t.ex. på St. Pietersnieuwstraat, men de har ett par olika filialer).

Happy Halloween, folks!
So I'm off to my parents to have some cheese fondue (yeah, I'm back in Sweden over the weekend). So this post's a quickie. I thought in honor of the day I'd tip you off on Monster Madness 2010 the beautiful series of horror movie reviews that James Rolfe, perhaps better known as the Angry Video Game Nerd, has been doing over the course of October leading up to Halloween on his website - http://www.cinemassacre.com . It is, I think, the third time he's done it. Earlier years have been about classics - this year was about camp. So lots and lots of humour. Today it was finished with a review of what seems like a great parody of 50s b-movies made in 2001 - The Lost Skeleton of Cadavra .
Anyway, they're worth checking out. And almost every review is quite short, so it's not a horrible time stealer. Just be prepared for a bit of gore in some of the films. In particular, avoid the review of the sasquatch film "Night of the Demon" if you are at all sensitive to graphic stuff - because that one is pretty nasty.

Thursday: Migraine. Superb.
Friday: Went to school with a headache. Well, it went well anyway.

Some bits I strongly agree with (like most prostitution is ugly stuff, with the prostitutes being on the losing end and certainly not people we should be judging), some I might want to put up reservations for, but the interesting parts are those that really get me thinking. With prostitution I think there is a situation that I guess (with great emphasis on guess) comes up almost but not quite never in our culture, and which could be and perhaps has been more common if the stigma was lesser or non-existant, where someone (man or woman) would really not be damaged in any way by being a prostitute, but rather actually thrive on it (not only in a monetary sense). But yeah, I really believe that is a very marginal kind of case in our society. So: To what extent should legalization take this kind of marginal case into account? Same kind of reasoning could go on legislation on recreational #drugs, though I believe the relative amount of people who come out more or less "on top", or at least relatively undamaged, is hugely greater there; it may even be a majority, if you include everyone who's tried marijuana once or twice, but I would not go so far as actually saying that it is. Including drugs that happen to be legal in Sweden maybe doesn't change so much in the case of alcohol. With tobacco included the I wonder if the numbers don't actually get worse, as cigarettes... from what I've heard of them, not a user myself..., today the definitely most common form of tobacco, damage you so badly for so little actual payoff. Caffeine? Common painkillers? Sugar...? I really don't know. The debate gets into another field there, and though the connections are there and perhaps it is one place where this debate should be (whether for seriously discussing some kind of [further] restrictions on these things or for getting another perspective on currently illegal drugs) I feel it gets a bit different and in some sense harder... but maybe that's just because I am a caffeinist with a serious sweet tooth.
A rather strong believer in consequence ethics and some manner of hedonistic utilitarianism, I think that the answer should lie in pragmaticism, in deciding that whatever we do it really shouldn't be based on anything as idiotic as pure principle alone... if nothing else, we must use that principle because we believe we have it for a reason. And, yeah, if you can parse the phrase "hedonistic utilitarianism", you understand that to be acceptable - or, well, understandable (I certainly accept that anyone can and should bring anything they feel is relevant to a democratic deliberation, though I won't necessarily agree that it's relevant) - to me, that reason needs to somehow connect to reducing harm (or "pain" if you will, or "negative emotions") or, well, "maximizing pleasure", though I might prefer in this context to say something like "allowing people to seek pleasure". (Oh, and in the case of prostitution, I really don't think the buyers' pleasure should come into the discussion much - or it should come in very late, when most conclusions are drawn anyway. Stating this categorically may make me a bad utilitarianist, but... screw that. Though, in fact, I'm pretty sure there are good utilitarian arguments to be made for this position. I'm just not sure it's very useful to get technical about this matter... though it may certainly serve as a sort of interesting real world case of the sadist-baby-boiling oil example.)
To be clear, the not-on-principle-alone thing really goes both ways. This is very much not ok (this is hypothetical reasoning to illustrate a point, not my evaluation of any legislation on prostitution or a serious attempt to reconstruct the reasoning behind it): "Ok, it seems pretty clear now that these laws hurt the conditions of sex workers in more cases than not - while they're still not getting fewer. Also, new research strongly indicates that there actually is a sizable group of prostitutes who like their work, and clients who are very serious about only seeking out exactly those and treating them with great respect - and this research also shows we're giving them great trouble. And the existence of the law doesn't seem to be changing anyone's ideas about prostitution either way. But we just really don't _like_ prostitution, so let's keep the laws anyway...". This is equally not ok: "Well, seen from outside the results of relieving the sale and use of all drugs of any kind of restrictions might look bad. Use of heavy drugs has exploded, and many of the users might not look very happy to you, though of course, you do not actually see the inside of their minds... And it's true the 'less crime with legal drugs' thing didn't turn out to fully match up with reality, so you don't really want to go out these days without private security, but, well, people choose whether to get that security... That's the thing, people choose, including the users. Yes, there were those 'joy of crack' ads with celebrities and some less serious medical doctors they found, but that's the thing - people choose what to believe what to follow from the great marketplace of ideas..."
I should also say I think you can let prostitution and drugs switch places in my example above. But the thing is, we won't realistically ever have all the facts, or be able to look at them without prejudice. And there will be some facts that are so abstract and hard to get a hold of, that some people might prefer to call them values... So where do we draw our lines? I don't necessarily know.

Say what you will about http://en.wikipedia.org/Winston_Churchill , but if he actually did say something on the lines of "it's a really bad system, but all alternatives are worse", I'd say he was onto something. And as you may guess when I quote Churchill, for me this really isn't _only_ about some utopian "true" democracy; I really do have a fondness for representative, "bourgeois" democracy in the form that it actually exists and works (especially with proportional representation, first-past-the-post and all that I do find kind of fishy, but that's another story...) And I think that's what we in the end have to use to decide about those lines. What that will give us is the risk of the tyranny of the 51% (who may then not be evil, but just ill-informed), but also a bit of protection from the tyranny of the 49%, or the 5% for that matter... And we can hope that our society is heterogenous enough, and the power spread-out enough, to have (enough) people get somewhat more inclined to be considerate of minorities because they would tend to belong to at least one themselves (and thus both become both more understanding and more wary of having that 51% tyranny turned against themselves).
That, and another sense of democracy... The idea of deliberation, of many voices being heard and allowed to influence the final outcome. And this is valuable because people has to get to speak for their own interests, but also because noone has the whole story, but if everyone gets to speak we will have so much more of it.

Do you still want to know what I would do with Swedish laws on drugs and prostitution if I could dictate them autocratically right now, but was not allowed to talk to a single person, not read a single Wikipedia stub or weird angelfire advocacy page as research, or for that matter read the laws as they are now - which I don't really know that deeply? Well, it would be rather strange if I could do that, wouldn't it? So I guess for that reason alone I would leave it as it is, not really understanding how my changes could have legitimacy and not trusting myself to actually know how to make things better. Also, for disclosure I guess, I don't necessarily feel the current laws are that bad (I think I'll get back to this in a moment). There are some things I might do outside of actual legislation. I would try to make sure a lot of people, with different backgrounds and viewpoints, are working out what those actual facts I was talking about are. But the laws... Yeah, I actually quite like the idea of the Sex Purchase Act. It rather clearly says that we will not pretend that prostitution as it exists in Sweden today is nice and unproblematic; rather, it is quite ugly and damaging to the prostitutes, and a person who buys sex is contributing a bit of that damage and is thereby committing a crime; still, rather than criminalizing the victims we accept the paradox that for this criminal act it is not actually a crime under certain circumstances to encourage someone to commit it or even to help them commit it and gain financially from it. That sums it up, I guess, and I think it's rather clever and rhymes well with how I look at, well, the ethics of "real" prostitution. Of course, whether I find it "clever" or not is not what we're interested in; it should be subject to the same pragmaticism I've been discussing all this time. I do know that there are rather a lot of people who argue that the facts then lead to it being pretty clear that we should scrap the law. I don't recall all the arguments, but I have read some of this from time to time and don't think they have ever managed to fully convince me - so I wouldn't use my autocratic power to immediately remove the law. With drugs, well, my general understanding is that they tend to end up as primarily BadStuff, both on the societal and the individual level. This certainly includes alcohol and tobacco, which is why society in various ways tries to control and limit their use (well, there may be less noble reasons as well, I guess...) - only they are so ingrained into European society that a ban is not the most effective or humane way to accomplish that, and also is not likely to be something we agree to make a law in the near future anyway given the amount of smokers and drinkers around. (Oh, more disclosure... I've mentioned I don't smoke. I do drink, more or less in moderation.) It is quite possible that new drugs could enter this position, just as I actually have some hope of seeing the day when we say goodbye to cigarettes. Then, there is the very real value of allowing adults to live in a society where their choices are respected... that certainly must weigh in. It kind of stands out, it doesn't really come out as part of the general argument... but in fact it is, in the sense that Qvarnström uses it as an example (while, as it seems, herself searching for the right way to think about prostitution) of how sexual abuse does not have to be connected to material rewards (in fact, she ponders if such could lessen the abusive factor). For in any case, this is very much a story about abuse. We don't know that this was the whole story, but I don't really see too much reason to doubt Qvarnström on it having been at least a big part of it. And in any case, that's not really the point here, because there would be other cases where it were... if only because that is the case in all to many relationships in general. So... though Qvarnström acknowledges that "in BDSM (WP-link here) circles there are also clear rules, like taking care of one's submissive. Especially mentally, where the big challenge takes place. Noone becomes dominant without the consent of a submissive, that is the rule. Thus the fundamental power is with the submissive, who gains some kind of personal kick and satisfaction from the game, which is altogether serious", it is possible to read her here as dismissing and vilifying all BDSM, which I would then not agree with... But then, what do we make of it? And actually, let's split up that "we" a bit. What should the BDSM community (which is not actually "we for me" at the moment, and what details may come up in the little narrative I make here is conjecture or hearsay) do with it?... so, you're very much safe, sane and consensual and you feel pretty sure the friends you know well and have talked about this extensively (even those you haven't actually played with) are... But is every dominant you've come into contact with, in the privacy of their dungeon, certain to have the best interests of the submissive in mind? Is every submissive strong enough to resist if someone tries to push them past their most definite no:s? Well, a very quick and easy google search (abuse in the bdsm community) shows us, hardly surprisingly, that this is not an issue that has been totally missed in all "internal" BDSM discussions. So yeah... And then, how should outsiders trying to figure out how to think about BDSM take this? Because regardless of what you think of any laws in existence or the courts' handling of cases involving BDSM, we probably agree that there are potential situations where it is quite right that the machinery of the law continues to come into play... With prostitution I think there is a situation that I guess (with great emphasis on guess) comes up almost but not quite never in our culture, and which could be and perhaps has been more common if the stigma was lesser or non-existant, where someone (man or woman) would really not be damaged in any way by being a prostitute, but rather actually thrive on it (not only in a monetary sense). But yeah, I really believe that is a very marginal kind of case in our society. So: To what extent should legalization take this kind of marginal case into account? Same kind of reasoning could go on legislation on recreational #drugs, though I believe the relative amount of people who come out more or less "on top", or at least relatively undamaged, is hugely greater there; it may even be a majority, if you include everyone who's tried marijuana once or twice, but I would not go so far as actually saying that it is. Including drugs that happen to be legal in Sweden maybe doesn't change so much in the case of alcohol. With tobacco included the I wonder if the numbers don't actually get worse, as cigarettes... from what I've heard of them, not a user myself..., today the definitely most common form of tobacco, damage you so badly for so little actual payoff. Caffeine? Common painkillers? Sugar...? I really don't know. The debate gets into another field there, and though the connections are there and perhaps it is one place where this debate should be (whether for seriously discussing some kind of [further] restrictions on these things or for getting another perspective on currently illegal drugs) I feel it gets a bit different and in some sense harder... but maybe that's just because I am a caffeinist with a serious sweet tooth.
A rather strong believer in consequence ethics and some manner of hedonistic utilitarianism, I think that the answer should lie in pragmaticism, in deciding that whatever we do it really shouldn't be based on anything as idiotic as pure principle alone... if nothing else, we must use that principle because we believe we have it for a reason. And, yeah, if you can parse the phrase "hedonistic utilitarianism", you understand that to be acceptable - or, well, understandable (I certainly accept that anyone can and should bring anything they feel is relevant to a democratic deliberation, though I won't necessarily agree that it's relevant) - to me, that reason needs to somehow connect to reducing harm (or "pain" if you will, or "negative emotions") or, well, "maximizing pleasure", though I might prefer in this context to say something like "allowing people to seek pleasure". (Oh, and in the case of prostitution, I really don't think the buyers' pleasure should come into the discussion much - or it should come in very late, when most conclusions are drawn anyway. Stating this categorically may make me a bad utilitarianist, but... screw that. Though, in fact, I'm pretty sure there are good utilitarian arguments to be made for this position. I'm just not sure it's very useful to get technical about this matter... though it may certainly serve as a sort of interesting real world case of the sadist-baby-boiling oil example.)

And the existence of the law doesn't seem to be changing anyone's ideas about prostitution either way. But we just really don't _like_ prostitution, so let's keep the laws anyway...". This is equally not ok: "Well, seen from outside the results of relieving the sale and use of all drugs of any kind of restrictions might look bad. Use of heavy drugs has exploded, and many of the users might not look very happy to you, though of course, you do not actually see the inside of their minds... And it's true the 'less crime with legal drugs' thing didn't turn out to fully match up with reality, so you don't really want to go out these days without private security, but, well, people choose whether to get that security... That's the thing, people choose, including the users. Yes, there were those 'joy of crack' ads with celebrities and some less serious medical doctors they found, but that's the thing - people choose what to believe what to follow from the great marketplace of ideas..."

Whose gonna love you if you hate yourself?
Have recently started getting worse again. In a few months I started to actually feel better, be happier. The reason is called highly likely youth pilot. Not that it was something I was doing there, but it was probably rather because I met people. And then it ended, it has just started to go downhill again. Hopefully it turns starting next week when I'll start working on a holiday. We shall see, is terrified of it anyway.
If'm in a downward spiral and nobody is there to snatch up a will just go downhill. To socialize with like-minded people (ie children) may be able to do good.

Amused me yesterday to sit 4 ½ hours and clean the chanterelles. Was substantially completed in neck and shoulders then. So damn funny, it is not actually sitting down and watching a hell lot of hours. But you can at least say that you reap the benefits. If there is no tastier than chanterelle mushrooms so.
Took some pictures while I was doing and clear and when we förvällde.
A little more than this was when I started. Be lucky it was the little basket.
This is how much has been cleared by now.

Otherwise I have just finished a course or what they now want call it. Biologist design. Went there 1-2 times a week this summer to find out what I want to work with, and Jora, I think I have found the right place. The profession I am interested in allowing at least damn interesting, and I am looking for courses all over Sweden. Hopefully I get somewhere.
Meanwhile, it seems that I will work within the municipality for a while. Right now it seems to be a recreational, not far from here, but we'll see where it ends. Is the only positive that I may ett jobb iallafall, och alla erfarenheter är bra erfarenheter. Att dessutom få en lön är inte ett dugg fel. Kan jag äntligen betala tebax ett par lån och kanske även spara ihop nån liten slant. Kanske även kan fixa en del grejer som absolut behöver uppgraderas, som ett nytt skrivbord och skrivbordsstol. Framtiden får utvisa vad som händer!

I am not Entirely Happy.
Sorry to tell you. I've been in a lot of stress over work for a long time and also worrying about other things; I'm lonely as hell in Belgium; and unresolved self-confidence issues that have been with me since always are growing and taking over.
This much I need to share right now rather than giving the impression that everything is ok. I am tempted to give more details but I think I need to think a bit more about what I should be saying in a public medium. But you can certainly ask. Eventually, I may say more here.

Strawberry Daiquiri/margarita Without Alcohol

- Som vanligt - och det är rätt irriterande, eftersom jag ändå have some ambitions for this blog - I have some bad time to write, and I have done no more now with the time I first planned to write ... so I'll take what I have time. There are some things I've thought about ...
- This I could well confine myself to write on Facebook, maybe, but in all cases: the coming week, I am in Gothenburg. Gothenburg friends who might see it here and that I have not managed to contact some other way - let's see if we can get together?
- Pure earthquake going on in Wikimedia projects. (In other words Wikipedia and its "sister project" - I have written about dictionary Wiktionary here some time ago, for example - which are all located on Wikimedia Foundation servers.) How much will be different when the storm is over is hard to say, but wow, what people are angry right now (on an English language link is accepted so check here ). Well, it will mean Wikimedia Commons , the repository for free images and other media used by the other projects for illustrations and more. Jimbo Wales , founder of Wikipedia and Wikimedia, have gone in there and started a mass deletion of images with adult content. Because people perceive that the central element of the Wikimedia projects is that they are not censored and that they are governed by consensus (about), and because, despite all the material remains on the servers, there are some technical problems with the Reset it is now being made - many people think that this was not so successful (I agree well with, I think, if anyone is interested). See discussion on Swedish Wikipedia's main discussion site 'Village Pump' (possibly archived, if you read this a few months), and another that is linked to from there. Right exciting, I think.

(And "now" will probably not be "now" in my "blog pretenses"; thus outside Livejournal - can not keep up with that klippoklistrandet right now, I think, maybe even before midnight.)
- first only: coffee, one can say a lot about. Maybe you want someone to remind me to do it sometime? No, as I said, now I may stop we heard hello hello ...
